About Valencia

Most famous for being the town where Paella was invented, Valencia is now one of Europe’s most up and coming destinations and people are fast realising the magic of this colourful and diverse city on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The mixture of rich, vibrant culture, wild party ambience and the striking blend of modern and baroque architecture makes it a heady, intoxicating concoction that will leave your senses saturated and your spirit refreshed.

The warm, balmy weather casts a sultry backdrop for you to explore the variety of sites, sounds and sensations that this wonderful city has to offer. It’s a compact town where all the main diversions are within walking distance and the myriad of colourful bars and restaurants provide perfect stopping points to enjoy a beer or a meal out on the terraces.

The unique and enthralling Las Fallas festival combines pulsating firework displays with quirky and zany paper maché displays to make for a worthy experience, whilst the extravagance of the local monuments such as the magnificent Palacio de Marqués will captivate you. The city also has an electrifying nightlife and at night the bars and dance clubs teem with youthful energy and vitality.

Valencia truly is a visual extravaganza that will seduce and win you over with its abundance of fiery Latin charm.

Museo de Historia de Valencia Located just on top of the Parque de Cabecera riverbed, this interactive style museum charts the colourful, culture-laden history of the region over the last 2000 years. It’s relaxed and fun with lots of film sequences documenting the events of bygone days, though of course the footage is in Spanish. There are English pamphlets available and it’s worth doing even if you struggle with the language as the imagery speaks for itself.
